Module II: IIR Digital Filters

Realization of IIR filters - Direct form - I, Direct form - II, Cascade and parallel form realizations.

Module III: FIR Digital Filters and Multirate Signal Processing
FIR digital filters: Characteristics of FIR Digital Filters, frequency response. Design of FIR Digital filters using window techniques, Linear phase realization. Multirate signal processing: Decimation, Interpolation, Sampling rate conversion, implementation of sampling rate conversion.

Module IV: DSP Controller – TMS320LF2407 and TMS320C2XX
TMS320LF2407 DSP Controller: Introduction, brief introduction to peripherals, types of physical memory, software tools. TMS320C2XX DSP CPU and instruction set: TMS320C2xx DSP architecture, Memory, Addressing modes, Instruction set.

Module V: DSP Functional Modules
GPIO functionality: Pin multiplexing (MUX) and GPIO Overview, multiplexing and GPIO control registers. Interrupts on the TMS320LF2407: Introduction, Interrupt Hierarchy and its Control Registers. ADC: Overview, Operation and programming modes. Event managers: Overview, Interrupts, Timers, Compare Units, and PWM Signal generation with Event Managers.
